📘 How to Download MARC Records from EBC Reader

If you are a librarian or administrator managing your institution’s digital resources, you may need to download MARC records for easy integration into your library catalog. The EBC Reader platform allows you to export MARC records for all available titles in just a few steps.


Follow this quick guide with screenshots:


Step 1:

Log in to EBC Reader


Go to the EBC Reader login page (www.ebcreader.com) and sign in with your registered university account.

Click on Log In button, you will be directed to the Sign-In page

Step 2:

Site Administration


Once logged in, click on your profile name (top-right corner) and select Site Administration from the dropdown menu as marked in the screenshot below:

Step 3:

Open Site Settings


In the left-hand menu, go to Settings → Site Settings to access MARC Records download options.

Step 4:

Select Your Content Category

Under the "Download MARC Records of EBC Reader" header, you will see a list of available content types. Choose the specific categories you wish to include in your record file:

  • Everything: Select this to download records for all subscribed content.
  • Specific Filters: Alternatively, you can filter your download by selecting Books, Bare Acts, or Journals individually.


Select Databases and Download


In the Databases section, check the boxes for the sources you want to pull records from:

  • ✅ Select the databases you want (EBC and/or Others).
  • ✅ Choose your preferred format (MARC 21 or MARC XML).
  • ✅ Click the Download button to export the records.

🎉 You’re Done!

Your MARC records are now ready for use in your library management system.
