What are Annotations and how to make them on iOS/Android?

What are Annotations?



Annotations are words or phrases highlighted or underlined by you in a book that are displayed in a list within the Annotation Pane.

Annotations contains all the highlights and underlines in a book, displayed by type (Highlight or Underline by Pen or Underline by Pencil tool) and arranged by page position and page number. You can refer back, to the important phrases for your research, in a book. So you have all your highlighted or underlined text available at one place.

Annotations helps to summarize and revisit the main points of a book, list of Annotations is available under Annotations pane for your easy reference. So that you can prepare your book notes without missing a point.

How To Create Annotations?




Copy To Note: You can copy an annotation, within ‘Annotations‘ menu to Notebook by going to the desired annotation and tapping “…” option next to it and then tap on ‘Copy to Note‘.
You can use this feature to make notes of the Highlighted or Underlined text for your legal research or study while reading a book.





Delete: You may delete an annotation within the Annotations menu by going to the desired annotation and tapping “…” option next to it and tap on ‘Delete’ to remove the annotation from the eBook.





Search Across Your Annotations: You can dynamically search your notes within Annotations list; this means as you type in the search box the list gets sorted and displays your desired note. This helps you to search and refer back to a specific note that you have prepared in a book for your research.





Truly Mobile: You can access your notes from your PC, Mobile or Tablet. Annotations that you prepare are saved in a EBC Reader eBook and can be accessed anywhere, anytime from your devices.



Your Research is safe: Your notes never gets misplaced or lost. Your notes as you prepare these are saved inside a book forever, unless you remove them.









How to use Annotations?



Highlight

To mark important text in the eBook, select the ‘Highlight’ option from the Toolbox and tap and drag the desired text.






Underline by Pen

To underline important text, select the ‘Pen’ option from the Toolbox and tap and drag on the desired text.




Underline by Pencil

To underline important text, select the ‘Pencil’ option from the Toolbox and tap and drag on the desired text.






Copy To Note

Choose the “Copy to note“ tool from the toolbox and select the desired text from the eBook and tap the ‘Copy to note’ option displayed after selecting the text, this will appear under Annotations. You can use this feature to make notes for your legal research or study while reading a book.
