Mastering EBC Reader: Explaining the Reading List Feature

The Reading List feature in EBC Reader helps users organize and access important legal materials effortlessly. It allows you to save, categorize, and revisit key documents for streamlined research and study. Let us see, how.

  • My List
  • Shared List
  1. My List: This section displays all the customized reading lists created by the user, organized according to their interests, projects, or preferred categories for easy access and management.
  2. Shared List: This feature allows the admin to share curated lists of books or materials with participants, provided both the organization and the participants have EBC Reader access. It enables the admin to provide selected resources, which participants can then easily read and explore.

As shown in the image above, when a reader clicks on any specific title of any reading list, the following three options will appear:

  • Filters
  • Rename
  • Export
  1. Filters: This feature includes options such as Highlights, Pen, Pencil, Copy-to-Note, Bookmark, and Audio. By selecting any of these filters, readers can easily locate items within their reading list that have been marked or annotated using the chosen tool.
  2. Rename: As the name suggests, by using this feature, a user can change the name of the reading list.
  3. Export: This feature allows the reader to export selected content from a reading list into a separate document, making it easy to save or share specific portions for future reference.

Upon clicking on any content of any list, the reader will get three options on the top right of the content:

  • Share Text
  • Delete
  • Copy Link: This option allows the reader to copy the link to a specific reading list and share it wherever required.
  • Share Text: This option allows the reader to share a selected portion of text from the content, instead of sharing the entire material.
  • Delete: This option allows the reader to remove a selected item or portion from their reading list.

On reaching this page, the reader will have numerous options at the top of the page, such as:

  • Print
  • Highlight
  • Pen
  • Pencil
  • Copy to note
  • Erase
  • Bookmark
  • Full screen

These options will help the reader to edit the reading list, as per their needs.
